With the District's increased investment in Google this year, Information Systems is simplifying our email security. We are returning to the previous Google SPAM folder setup. The Proofpoint End User Digest system will no longer be used.
Effective July 24, your SPAM/bulk mail will be directed to the SPAM email folder in your main Gmail interface. This means that emails identified as potential SPAM will go directly to your Gmail SPAM folder, rather than being held in a Proofpoint quarantine.
What Happens to My Proofpoint Rules?
Unfortunately, any rules you created in the Proofpoint End User Digest will not transfer to Gmail. If you need to adjust how Gmail identifies SPAM, you will need to modify or create rules directly within your Gmail settings.
Recommendations
Please review your Gmail SPAM folder after July 24 to check for any important emails. Make sure to update your Gmail filter settings as needed to manage SPAM effectively.
