If you use apps or other resources that require student data, check out the guidelines below to be sure you meet Utah student data privacy requirements! Utah law (53E-3-309) requires that any student data shared with a third party - including data given to apps - be shared through a data sharing agreement or through an authorized exception in federal law. USE THESE STEPS TO ASK BEFORE YOU APP!
- CHECK! - Access the Jordan District LearnPlatform registry of apps that are already reviewed and approved!
- GO! - Approved apps can be used in the classroom or for instruction. Some apps require special steps or approval prior to use.
- ASK! - Request a review of apps that aren't on the list. Use the QR code on the bottom right of the flyer for instructions.
- PLAN! - Some apps can't be approved because of privacy practices or terms of use. You'll need to plan alternative activities if the app has been or is denied.
