The USBE is in the process of updating the Utah Effective Teaching Standards and the state evaluation tool. We will naturally need to make changes once this process is complete. With this in mind, we have created the JPAS Lite evaluation. This lite version will have fewer observable indicators and will also only require educators to upload two pieces of evidence versus ten. Also, there will no longer be a requirement for special education indicators. Both evaluators and educators will have a lightened load due to the changes we have made thus far.
